Forth News has had exclusive access to Police Scotland's new operation to tackle motorbike crime in north Edinburgh.

Following our 'Break The Cycle' campaign, the force drafted in national resources to tackle the issue last week. So we went out with officers to see how the new tactics work in action.

The Police Scotland helicopter, extra road policing officers, and dog handlers have all been introduced to areas such as Pilton, Muirhouse and Drylaw in the last few days.

We joined Sergeant Richard Homewood in a police car as officers patrolled the area last Friday night (June 30).

Over the last week over 40 arrests have been made and more than 7 stolen motorbikes have been removed from the streets of north Edinburgh.
