The family of murdered Kirkcaldy man Darren Adie has made an emotional appeal for answers.

The 42-year-old was found unconscious on the town's Tweed Avenue at around 6.45pm on Saturday May 28.

He was taken to the Victoria Hospital where he later died.

A murder investigation was launched after the results of a post-mortem examination.

Darren's dad John Adie said: "Just imagine what his kids will feel like growing up knowing their father was murdered and left lying in the street.

"We would like some answers - we need to know what led to our son dying on Tweed Avenue that Saturday."

Police are looking to speak to seven people who they believe saw the father of two in the hours before his death.
