What does it mean to have the best student mental support in Scotland?

In our investigation we revealed figures showing services on offer to students across Scotland's 15 universities ranges from 4 free counselling sessions to unlimited drop-ins.

At the top of the list for help is Edinburgh's Heriot Watt. The university provides unlimited sessions, inlcuding help from counselling, mentoring, well-being activities, drop-in sessions, and disability support.

The university spends over £600,000 annually on mental health support and employs a team of over 20 staff members to support students.

So we visited the counselling centre to see how and why they provide the range of support they do.
