Forth News understands the family of missing Livingston man Matthew Elmer have been informed following the discovery of a body by the M8.

The 23 year old was last seen in Poplar Grove on Saturday the 13th of February.
When he last spoke to his father, Matthew told him he'd not slept in "several days."
A major search effort has been ongoing, but police had failed to find any evidence as to where he might have gone.
At 2.30pm yesterday officers were called to the A899 near junction 3 of the M8, following the discovery of a body.
Formal identification is yet to take place - and detectives remain at the scene today.
