Two women charged after robbery in Edinburgh

Two women have been arrested and charged following an alleged armed robbery in the centre of Edinburgh.

The incident is said to have happened at 6am on Sunday at Princes Street.

The women aged 29 and 37 were expected to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court in connection with the robbery.

Police say inquiries are ongoing in relation to the incident.

Officers have asked anyone with information to call 101
