Two teenagers charged after objects thrown onto pitch at Easter Road

Police say they are also investigating the use of pyrotechnics at the match

Two boys, aged 13 and 14, have been charged in connection with objects being thrown onto the pitch at Easter Road.

It happened during the Hibs v Rangers game last night.

Officers are also carrying out enquiries into the use of pyrotechnics in the crowd during the match.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Two boys, aged 13 and 14, have been charged in connection with objects being thrown onto the pitch at Easter Road, during the Hibernian v Rangers match on the evening of Wednesday, 8 March, 2023.

“Officers are also carrying out enquiries into the use of pyrotechnics in the crowd during the match.”
