Two people and dogs rescued by coastguard in Granton
Two people and their dogs have been rescued after they got stuck while trying to rescue the animals from rocks.
The pet owners clambered across to reach the animals on the shore at Granton in Edinburgh after one of the dogs injured itself.
They called coastguards after discovering they could not make their way back to safety while carrying the animals.
Coastguard teams from Fisherrow, South Queensferry and Kinghorn went to the scene when the alarm was raised at 12.28pm on Friday.
They used ropes to rescue the group and brought them to safety at Gypsy Brae.
