Two more men arrested in connection with Scottish Cup final disorder

It brings the total number of arrests to 58.

Two more men have been arrested following the disorder which marred the end of the Scottish Cup final, taking the total number of arrests to 58.

The event at Hampden on May 21 was disrupted when fans invaded the pitch after Hibs defeated Rangers 3-2, to lift the trophy.

Police Scotland said the men arrested in the latest action are aged 23 and 40.

Both were held in connection with alleged offences under the Offensive Behaviour at Football (Scotland) Act, while the 40-year-old also faces an assault allegation.

They are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
