Two dead and two seriously injured in West Lothian crash

Two men have died after a car left the road in West Lothian in the early hours of this morning.
The crash happened at around 5am on the A706 in Whitburn and involved a Subaru car. Two male passengers, aged 23 and 19, were pronounced dead at the scene. A further two male passengers, aged 52 and 28, were taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The 25-year-old male driver, who sustained a serious injury that required hospital treatment, has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences and enquiries are ongoing.
Inspector Roger Park, of Lothians Road Policing Unit said: “This was a tragic incident and our thoughts are with the men’s family and friends at this time.
“Investigations into the crash are ongoing and I would appeal to anyone with information which could assist our enquiries to call 101, quoting 0858 of 29 August
