Two arrests made over the attempted murder of Edinburgh teenager

Two 17-year-old males have been arrested and charged in connection with the attempted murder of teenager in the west of Edinburgh.

The 16-year-old boy was stabbed after being chased by a gang on Stenhouse Avenue West on Sunday night.

He was taken to hospital, where he remains the day before Christmas.

The suspects are expected to appear in court in due course.

Police Scotland have said they are continuing to follow further positive lines of enquiry after chapping on doors and examining CCTV footage in the area on Monday.

Detective Sergeant Kim Tennant said: “We would like to thank members of the public for their assistance with our enquiries into this attack.”
