Tributes have been paid to TV presenter Michelle Watt following her death at the age of 38.

The former 60 Minute Makeover host - daughter of boxing champion Jim Watt - was found dead at her home in Airth, near Falkirk, on Wednesday.

She had also worked on programmes including Scottish dating show Club Cupid and STV's The Hour.

Daytime TV presenter Lorraine Kelly paid tribute to her today on Twitter, writing: "Absolutely shocked to hear of death of Michelle Watt. Lovely woman and a fantastic mum. Thoughts with her family and everyone who loved her.''

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police in Forth Valley were called to an address around 6.15pm on Wednesday 24th June where the body of a 38-year-old woman was found.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.''

Her boxer father became world champion in the lightweight division in 1979 and has since worked as a commentator, currently with Sky Sports.

In October 1995, the youngest of Jim Watt's three children died in a car crash aged 17.

Speaking in 2010 about the death of Jim junior, he said: "It was a horrendous time, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. It was just terrible and tragic.''

Friends and those who worked with Ms Watt continued to pay tribute to her today.

Michelle McManus, who won Pop Idol in 2003, tweeted: "Can't quite believe the news this morning. Michelle Watt was a lovely girl and an absolute pleasure to work with. What a tragic loss xxx.''

Stephen Jardine, former host of The Hour, wrote: "Totally shocked by the tragic death of Michelle Watt. One of the nicest people I've ever worked with. My thoughts are with her lovely family.''
