Trinity Academy fails to fill maths teaching jobs for second time
The Edinburgh high school has become a symbol for Scotland's teacher shortage.
There is still a shortage of maths teachers at an Edinburgh high school three months after the headteacher wrote to parents asking for help with cover.
Trinity Academy became a symbol of a wider recruitment crisis around Scotland.
A second attempt to fill two jobs there has failed after the deadline for applications passed with no candidates having the right skills and experience.
Edinburgh Council says there are various measures in place to provide cover which have the support of the school's parent council.
Earlier this week, official figures suggested the number of teachers working in Scotland is up by 540 over the last year.
However, there still appears to be a shortage, particularly for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic.
