It was a day filled with speculation - but ultimately transfer deadline day failed to deliver any blockbuster moves in Scotland.

It was a similar story with the clubs across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife although there were a few key switches.

Perhaps the biggest was former Rangers striker Nicky Clark joining Dunfermline on a 2 year deal.

Most recently he'd been playing with Bury, but he failed to make a significant impact with the English League One side.

The Pars also signed John Herron on loan from Blackpool.

Hearts forward Juanma - who was last season's top scorer for the club - left Tynecastle to join Spanish second tier side UCAM on a season long loan.

The Jambos clung on to defender Callum Paterson though, rejecting a third bid from Wigan.

An expected move for midfielder Prince Buaben failed to materialise.

Hibs let midfielder Sam Stanton join Dumbarton on loan for the season, while striker Jamie Insall rejoined East Fife, also on loan for the campaign.

Raith Rovers let Jonny Court and David Mckay join Montrose on loan, while the Kirkcaldy side also chose to register youth development coach Craig Easton as a player.

Out-of-favour Livingston keeper Darren Jamieson has jumped up the divisions to join Hamilton.

In League Two, Cowdenbeath signed Aaron Murrell on a development loan from Dundee Utd, while youngsters Lyle Kellichan and Callum Watt have joined Burntisland Shipyard FC on loan.
