The court heard the trio launched a robbery attempt while Amy’s vehicle was parked on Foundry Street. When she tried to flee, they chased her down and crashed into her car. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The three were also found guilty of attempted robbery, and along with a fourth man, Steven Hornsby (55) from Essex, guilty of conspiracy and attempting to pervert the course of justice.

Detective Superintendent Susan Balfour said: “Their actions were utterly reckless and resulted in a young woman losing her life. They then went to great lengths to cover their tracks. This was a complex investigation, and I want to thank the public and our team for their support.”

All four men will be sentenced at a later date.
