Three Face Drug Charges Following Council Premises Search
Three men have been charged with alleged drug offences after police searched a number of council premises.
The police operation was carried out at West Lothian Council properties yesterday.
The men, aged 34, 43 and 49, were arrested and will be reported to the procurator fiscal, Police Scotland said.
The searches, understood to be at business premises, came after officers received information in relation to reports of employees allegedly involved in drugs misuse.
Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Healy said: We are committed to tackling drugs offences wherever they arise and continue to liaise with West Lothian Council in relation to this operation.''
A council spokesman said: West Lothian Council is co-operating fully in this matter. It is not appropriate for us to comment further at this time.''
