Teens Assaulted And Robbed By Man They Tried To Help In Edinburgh

Three teenagers have been assaulted and robbed in Edinburgh during the early hours of Saturday. It happened at around 4am at steps near Fountain Park, the boys had initially gone to help their attacker who had been lying there. He then chased them along Dundee Street before stopping them and demanding they hand over their money.

Detective Constable Martin Smith of Police Scotland said: “The three teenagers had only tried to help this man who in turn assaulted and robbed them. “The incident has left them all very shocked and we are keen to trace the suspect.” The suspect is described as white, around 20-25 years old, approximately 6ft tall with a stocky build and has a half sleeve tattoo on his arm. He has very short blonde hair, a Scottish accent and had been wearing a tight black t-shirt.
