Teenagers Found Guilty Of Killing Two Men In 36 Hours

A Pair of teenage thugs brutally killed two innocent men in separate attacks in Bathgate in the space of 36 hours.

Andrew Moran and Paul Erskine stabbed and robbed 65 year old Harry Reekie at his home in the town last September.

The duo - both 19 - then used cash taken from the tragic pensioner to go on a designer shopping spree.

The crazed killers went on to murder Steven Mitchell - who a jury heard Moran had previously bullied.

The 31 year-old was knifed to death at a house just yards from Mr Reekie's home.

But, Moran and Erskine were snared for the killing of Mr Mitchell after footprints from their new trainers were left at the scene.

Prosecutors said both victims were exposed to "needless and grotesque" violence.

Moran was today (11 Sept 15) convicted of both murders following a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.

Erskine was found guilty of murdering Mr Mitchell and the culpable homicide of Mr Reekie.

Both face life in jail when they are sentenced next month.
