Teenager injured in early morning attack in Morningside

A teenager has been injured in a early morning attack in Morningside that is believed to have involved a knife.

Police are investigating after the assault at 6:05am on Morningside Road near Holy Corner.

A 19-year-old man was left with injuries to his face after being attacked with a bladed weapon. He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.

Officers are currently following a positive line of inquiry.
