A teenager's recovering from an attempted car-jacking in Livingston.

He was sitting in the passenger seat of a white Peugeot in the Craigshill area when a man jumped in and tried to drive off.

The teenager managed to grab the keys out of the ignition and quickly got out the car - but the suspect didn't give up.

Then, bizarrely, he attempted to push the car from the street before eventually giving up and heading off towards Craigshill East Road.

It happened at around 9:30pm on Wednesday (7th Sept).

The suspect is described as white, approximately 19-years-old and around 5ft 6ins tall.

He was wearing a grey hooded tracksuit with the hood up partially covering his face, grey tracksuit bottoms and dark coloured Adidas trainers.
