Teen 'seriously' hurt in Fife hit & run

A boy has been seriously injured in a hit and run on a road in Fife.

The teenager was hit by a car on Kirkland Walk in Methil on Sunday night.

Police say the 14-year-old was taken to Victoria Hospital where his 'serious' foot injury was treated by doctors.

Officers investigating the collision describe the car which failed to stop as a dark coloured saloon, similar in size to a Vauxhall Astra or Ford Focus.

Speaking about the incident which happened around 8:15pm on Sunday, January 26th, Inspector Paul Gillespie said: "We're appealing to anyone who has any information about this incident to contact us and equally, we're appealing to the driver to contact us."
