The Teapot Trust aims to provide professional art therapy for chronically ill children. In particular children who suffer from Lupus (Systemic Lupus Erythematosis SLE) and other rheumatological conditions.

The Trust was founded in 2010 by Laura and John Young, inspired by their daughter Verity's love of art and tea. Verity spent much of her short life in hospital coping with illness and managing the effects of her treatment, art gave Verity a way of expressing herself.

All artists are fully qualified allied health professionals and registered with the Health Care and Profession Council and the British Association of Art Therapists. Artists work in medical settings, including clinics, hospital wards and hospices In Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Kinross, Aberdeen and Inverness.
