#TakeTheTime campaign joins forces with NHS Lothian

NHS Lothian has backed out #TakeTheTime campaign, in a bid to encourage more health workers to become befrienders.

The campaign has been investigating loneliness and social isolation across the country and encouraging listeners to donate their time and become a befriender.

We have now joined forces with NHS Lothian to make it easier for staff at the health board to help tackle the issue. All staff can now sing-up through the NHS Lothian intranet.

Loneliness is a huge issue and studies show it is as damaging as smoking 15 cigarettes a day.
