Emergency services rush to reports of 'suspicious package' at Dunfermline job centre

Police say an area around the job centre in Dunfermline has been cordoned off after reports of a suspicious package

Emergency services have rushed to the job centre on Dunfermline's Foundry Street after reports of a "suspicious package" this afternoon.

It's believed people in surroundings areas have been asked to stay inside.

Police have yet to update on the nature of the package.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Emergency services are in attendance following a report of a suspicious package at a premises on Foundry Street in Dunfermline around 12.15pm on Friday, 28 October, 2022.

“A cordon is in place and EOD have been contacted.”
