Bastille, The Vaccines and Brian Wilson added to Edinburgh Summer Sessions line-up

The new music festival will features a series of concerts in Princes Street Gardens this August.

Rock band Bastille, along with special guests The Vaccines, are among the latest names added to the line-up for Edinburgh's new Summer Sessions music festival.

A series of concerts will be staged at the Ross Bandstand from 6th-19th August.

Bastille and The Vaccines will be performing on the 9th while Beach Boys legend, Brian Wilson will headline a gig on the 19th.

The festival has also added Into The Ark, 6th, Grace Carter and The LaFontaines, 14th, plus Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin, 19th.

Previously announced acts include Sir Tom Jones, Rag’N’Bone Man, Paloma Faith and Kasabian.

British indie-rockers Bastille will take to Edinburgh Summer Sessions for their festival debut, having sold more than four million albums and eleven million singles around the world over the last eight years.

Their massive hits include 'Pompeii', 'Things We Lost in the Fire' and 'Good Grief'.

The Brit Award winning and Grammy-nominated band recently collaborated with Craig David on the UK Top 10 hit 'I Know You'.

Since their debut album in 2011, indie-rockers The Vaccines have sold over a million records worldwide, plus toured with The Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Muse.

The band released their fourth album Combat Sports in 2017.

International icon Brian Wilson began his career as co-founder of The Beach Boys, writing countless hits and producing momentous albums including the world renowned Pet Sounds which will be performed in full on 19th August
