Six people have been injured in two fires in Edinburgh last night.

Six people have been injured in two fires in Edinburgh last night.

The first was at 8:55pm on Somerset Place in Leith. Fire crews were called to a property after a TV burst into flames in the living room.

A woman and man were treated on the scene for smoke inhalation, and the woman was then taken to Edinburgh's Royal Infirmary.

Fire crews were then called out to a blaze in a house in Murrayburn Green in Sighthill at 9pm.

There three woman, and one man were treated for smoke inhalation. Two woman were then also taken to the Royal Infirmary.
