On-loan Hearts Striker Ellis Simms doesn't know what the future holds for him next season as he prepares for a Scottish Cup Final.

The Everton loanee scored against Hibernian in the semi-final to help the Jambos on their way to the curtain closer against Rangers.

Manager Robbie Neilson has said he'd like to keep Simms at the club, but ultimately the decision will come down to his parent club.

If Saturday's clash is to be his last game in Maroon, Simms is desperate to finish it with a winners medal around his neck.

"I'm just focused on the final really" he said.

"At the end of the day it's down to my parent club what happens regarding that.

"After that I'll have a few weeks break and we will re-asses the situation and see what's best for my future."

Asked if securing the trophy would be the perfect end to his stint at Hearts - should that be the case - Simms said:

"100 percent, it'll be a nice day, a nice occasion.

"If it was my last game, it'd be great to win, we'll just have to see after the final what happens."

Before coming to Tynecastle Simms had made just one apperance for Everton, and spent the second half of last season on loan with Blackpool.

For the Englishman, this will be the biggest game of his career so far.

He said:

"Playing in a cup final is a big game for me, so yeah I'm looking forward to it.

"I just want to keep kicking on and I'm sure there'll be many more games like this in the future."
