Shop Fall Victim Seriously Hurt

One person has been injured after falling about 15ft in a vacant shop building. Police said emergency services were called to a unit at the Fort Kinnaird estate at about 12.30pm in Edinburgh today. The casualty is said to be in a serious condition. A police spokeswoman said: "Police in Edinburgh are currently in attendance following an incident at Fort Kinnaird. The incident occurred today at around 12.30pm after a 57-year-old man sustained serious injuries after an accident at work. "He was taken to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary by the Scottish Ambulance Service and is considered to be in a serious condition. Enquiries are ongoing at this time."
