Scottish Football Writers' Association Player of the Year shortlist revealed
Jack Butland, Matt O'Riley, Lawrence Shankland and Bojan Miovski are the nominees
The shortlist for the 2024 Scottish Football Writers' Association Player of the Year award has been revealed.
Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland, Celtic midfielder Matt O'Riley, Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland and Aberdeen forward Bojan Miovski are the nominees.
Shankland is the top scorer in the Premiership with 21 goals and has already won the PFA Player of the Year award.
Miovski has 15 league goals for a bottom-half Aberdeen side, and scored at Hampden Park in both the League Cup and Scottish Cup semi-finals.
Butland has earned rave reviews during his debut season at Ibrox and has kept 18 clean sheets so far.
O'Riley is Celtic's top scorer in the league and has been their stand-out performer this campaign.
Philippe Clement, Derek McInnes, Tony Docherty and John McGlynn are up for the Manager of the Year award.
The winners will be announced ahead of the annual awards night on Sunday May 19.
