Serial Rapist Jailed for 10 Years
Carl Calder Harley preyed on multiple women, including a thirteen year old.
A man who raped three teenage girls - including a thirteen year old - has been jailed for ten years. 26 year old Karl Calder-Hartley was sentenced at the High Court in Edinburgh.
In August, a court in Stirling heard Calder-Harley had pursued the teenager after finding her on social media, and that after arranging to meet her in his car - just days after her thirteenth birthday - claimed to have a knife, and raped her.
The court also heard he'd raped a 15 year old and an 18 year old girl - who broke down whilst giving evidence, saying she'd "pleaded" with him to stop.
Judge Colbeck described the offences as being “of the utmost seriousness”, and that Calder-Harley accepted “no responsibility” and “no insight” into the harm he’d inflicted.
The 26 year old - from Stenhousemuir - will now spend ten years behind bars, and a further three under license. He was placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely and given a 99 year non-harassment order.
He was previously found guilty of a number of offences, including rape, committed against two women and a teenage girl between June 2013 and May 2021.
Detective Inspector Forbes Wilson of the Forth Valley Public Protection Unit welcomed the sentence. He said: “Calder-Harley conducted violent and controlling behaviour towards his victims and I hope this verdict will bring some form of closure for them.
