The 6lb 5oz boy is the second child for Paul Brown and Jacqueline Hamilton, who have a three-year-old daughter.
Offshore worker Mr Brown said: It all went smoothly. It was a nice surprise because he was three-and-a-half weeks early.
We're ecstatic. I was offshore so it was nice to get home in time for it.''
Reagan Brown (6lb 10oz) arrived at 2am at St John's Hospital in Livingston, West Lothian, to parents Louise Feenie and Joff Brown.
Around 20 minutes later Nicole Gemmell, 19, from Carron near Falkirk, was introduced to her first child, Kasie-Leigh (6lb 13oz), who was delivered at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert.
