Scotrail's vowing to run as many late services as possible, after strike action was announced for the opening weeks of the Edinburgh Fringe.

Fresh industrial action's been scheduled for 48 hours from the 7th of August, then on Thursday the 11th, and on the weekend of the 13th and 14th of August.

They've been called by the RMT which is campaigning against the increased use of trains without guards, with drivers opening and closing the doors instead.

The union says the proposal's unsafe, something Scotrail denies.

If the strikes go ahead, we'll find out how they'll affect the earlier dates next week.
