Technological giants Google are launching a free digital coaching hub in Edinburgh today to help people become more tech savvy.

A 'Digital Garage' - the first in Scotland, will teach budding entrepreneurs how to build an online CV and develop business plans.

The centre provides one to one advice with online experts.

Kate O'Donovan from Google UK said: "If you've never been online before or if you want to apply for a job online for the first time, then this is for you."

"You don't need to have any technical expertise.

"All you need is an idea of something you want to do or can't do yet."

Scottish Conservative Leader Ruth Davidson attended the launch on Shandwick Place and spoke to business men and women who have benefitted from the service.

Abigail Welch receives one to one sessions after opening a cake shop in Edinburgh.

"Before I started I had a website and social media accounts, however I didn't have the foundation I required to be properly searchable on the internet."

"I received basic search engine optimisation information to ensure I could be found on Google Map searches.

"We identified key words that I needed to be able to be found when people were searching cakes.

"It was quite eye opening, as it was something I had never considered before."
