Sam Skinner has been ruled out of Scotland's World Cup plans.

Glasgow forward Tim Swinson has been called into the wider training squad after tests on the hamstring injury that Skinner suffered during the 17-14 victory over France on Saturday.

A Scottish Rugby Union statement read: Skinner had the muscle scanned at Spire Murrayfield Hospital on the evening of the match, with the time taken to recover deemed insufficient to play a meaningful part in Scotland's Rugby World Cup 2019 campaign."
