Ryan Hardie has rejoined Livingston on loan after signing a one-year contract extension with Rangers.

The striker scored five goals in seven games for Livi during an injury-hit first half of the season before going to Tenerife for Rangers' winter training camp.

His new Ibrox deal takes him to the summer of 2020 and he will spend the rest of the season in West Lothian.

Hardie told Rangers' official website: "I am looking forward to going there again, scoring more goals and proving I can do it at this level.

"A lot of thanks has to go to the gaffer (Steven Gerrard) for allowing me to do so - he could easily have kept me in the building and I would not have got as much game-time as I would have wanted.''

Livi manager Gary Holt told his club's website: "I'm sure everyone will be delighted that Ryan will be scoring goals for Livingston FC again: it's what the lad does best.'
