Rolex Worth £18k Stolen in Pawnbroker Raid

Thieves smashed the window of an upmarket pawnbrokers in Edinburgh city centre and stole a Rolex watch worth £18,000 on Monday afternoon.

Thieves smashed the window of an upmarket pawnbrokers in Edinburgh city centre and stole a Rolex watch worth £18,000 on Monday afternoon. The Duncanson & Edwards store on the corner of Queen Street and Frederick Street was targeted at around 4.40pm. Two men grabbed a Rolex yachtmaster II 18ct white gold watch before running off towards Queen Street Gardens West. The first suspect is described as white with a slim build and between 5’10 inches and 6’2 inches tall DI Grant Johnston said: “This was a brazen daylight break-in that left staff shaken. "I am looking to speak to members of the public who were in the area around the time of this incident and saw the two men or saw anything they believe was connected to the incident." The first suspect is described as white with a slim build and between 5’10 inches and 6’2 inches tall He was wearing dark/navy cotton tracksuit bottoms, a dark waist length jacket and a dark coloured beanie hat with a white horizontal line/motif. The second suspect also has a slim build and was around the same height but has short dark hair, dark beard with thin dark eyebrows and brown eyes. He was wearing dark cotton tracksuit bottoms and hooded jumper.
