It's been another record year for Edinburgh's Christmas attractions with ticket sales up 13% on the previous festive period.
Underbelly, which has been producing the events for five years, says 781,520 tickets were sold for the various rides and shows during their six week run.
People from 47 countries enjoyed the celebrations while 142,333 tickets were booked by Edinburgh residents, taking advantage of a 20% discount.
Giant advent calendar images were projected onto General Register House while The Ice Adventure: A Journey Through Frozen Scotland at the west end of George Street featured over 200 ice sculptures.
The Festival Square Spiegeltent hosted the cabaret show La Clique Noël and the Forth 1 Big Wheel gave visitors a bird's eye view.
Edinburgh's Lord Provost, Frank Ross said: "Edinburgh's Christmas certainly remains one of the UK’s favourite winter destinations.
"Today's figures prove the Festival continues to attract record numbers of visitors and supports footfall to the city centre - providing a welcome boost to our local economy while bringing everyone together to enjoy Edinburgh in winter.
"A huge well done to everyone involved".
