Pride decorations outside a Fife dance studio have been destroyed by a group of men over the weekend.

A number of rainbow flags had been installed outside 'The Dance Shack' in Kirkcaldy town centre to celebrate Pride month and the LGBT community.

But a group of men were called on CCTV over the weekend ripping them down and burning them.

Owner Amby Stanyer-Hunter told Forth News: "I look at this and think these people really their world is very small. While most people would expect anger from me, I just don't have it. I think there's too much love in my heart to have that.

"There's no need to hate just for the sake of hating. We're in 2019 now, whether I have a husband or whether I have a wife, isn't relevant to you. There's no need to be involved in other people's lives.

"While it is very sad this has happened in my home town, I also look at the responses from people in my town and I think this place has got a lot of positivity and drive forward. The love for the town and its people has shone through despite the darkness."
