Police urge dash cam owners to come forward following robbery at Fife petrol station

Police have appealed for motorists with dash-cams come forward as they look for the person responsible for an armed robbery at a petrol station in Cowdenbeath.

People who drove near Beath Petrol Station on the High Street at around 5am on Tursday have been urged to.

He entered the petrol station and threatened a member of staff with a weapon before making off with hundreds of pounds and some cigarettes.

It's thought that the man is around 20 years old, slim built, wearing a balaclava and carrying a dark holdall.

Detective Inspector Kelly McEwan from Dunfermline CID said: "The public response to this incident has been really positive so far and we're grateful to those who have so far gotten in touch to assist with our inquiries.

"We believe the suspect may have travelled in a dark coloured vehicle and what we are keen to get a hold of now, is dash-cam footage or any other video evidence, which may capture the suspect near to the garage or the suspect vehicle in and around the area.

"If you believe you have any footage of use to this investigation, or have any other relevant information then please contact us immediately."
