Police treating death of man at Fife hotel as unexplained

Officers were called to Drummonds in Markinch around 10.15am today

Police are treating the death of a man at a hotel in Fife as unexplained.

They were called to Drummond's in Markinch just after 10 this morning.

The hotel has been closed while officers carry out their investigation.

Inspector Rachael Burns of Glenrothes Police Station said: “Officers were called to an address on Balbirnie Street, Markinch on Wednesday, November 20 following the sudden death of a man.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing."
