Police are searching the home of a Dunfermline woman who has been missing since before Christmas. 54-year-old Carol-Anne Taggart has not been seen since leaving her property in the town's Hill of St Margaret on the evening of Sunday 21st December. Her Vauxhall Antara car was found at around 9.15pm on Christmas Day in Burns Street after it was previously spotted at the Vine Church in Garvock Hill. Officers hope the search of her home will throw up new clues about where she may have gone. The address also operates as nursery and during the police activity the service will be closed to the public. Chief Inspector Steven Hamilton said: "I would like to reassure all parents that there is nothing to suggest any link between the nursery and Carol-Anne's disappearance. "There is no risk to any of the children who attend and we will look to return the property to normality as soon as possible. "While I continue to urge the public to get in touch if they have information that can help us find Carol-Anne, I would also ask that she make contact with a family member, friend, or with police as soon as possible to let us know she is safe."
