Police Say "Loud Noises" In Newbridge May Be Caused By Bangers
Police investigating reports of loud banging noises in Newbridge say they appear to have been caused by fireworks.
A bomb disposal unit was called out to the Riverside area on Sunday morning (26th July) and officers recovered several iterms, all thought to be bangers.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: "Cordons remain in place while officers and partners continue to search the area.
"All the items found are believed to be bangers, and there does not appear to be any immediate risk to the safety of the community."
