Police have received an allegation of racial abuse towards a player during a Hearts versus Kilmarnock game.

Police have received an allegation of racial abuse towards a player during a Hearts versus Kilmarnock game.

It is understood it relates to alleged abuse aimed at Kilmarnock striker Josh Magennis from one of the Hearts stands during the game at Tynecastle on Saturday afternoon.

Hearts won the match 1-0.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: We can confirm we have received a report of racial abuse from today's match at Tynecastle Stadium, Edinburgh.

Inquiries are ongoing.''

Northern Ireland international Magennis, 25, is in his second season with the Ayrshire club.
