Police name pedestrian struck by car on slip road in East Lothian

A pedestrian who died after he was hit by a car on a slip road has been named by police.
Richard John Cooper, 38, from Edinburgh, was at the slip road of the southbound carriageway of the A1 near Gladsmuir, East Lothian, when he was struck by a Volkswagen Beetle.
Emergency services attended and he was pronounced dead at the scene following the incident, which happened at around 6.25pm on November 4.
The road was closed for about four hours after the collision while officers conducted their investigation.
