Police Name Man Who Died After Collision With Bus In Edinburgh
A man who died after being struck by a bus in Edinburgh city centre has been formally identified by police.
Roderick Lakin - who was 65 - was badly hurt in the collision, which happened on the junction of Frederick Street and Princes Street at 10.45am on the 19th of August.
He was rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, then taken to the Western General Hospital where he passed away on Friday evening (28th August).
Sergeant Keith Denholm of Road Policing said: "We offer our sincere condolences to Roderick's friends and family at this sad time, and I'd like to thank the public for their continued support while our investigation into this collision continues."
