Police investigate attempted murder after man hit by car near Stirling
The victim's in a stable condition in Forth Valley Royal Hospital
A man is being treated in hospital after he was struck by a car in an attempted murder.
Police said the 26-year-old was hit by a black Ford Fiesta that was deliberately driven at him in Stirling Road in Fallin at around 9.15pm on Tuesday.
He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital where medical staff describe his condition as stable.
The car did not stop and drove off in the direction of Stirling.
Police are treating the incident as attempted murder and appealed for information.
They received a report of a Ford Fiesta on fire in Sheriffmuir Road a short time after the incident.
Detective Inspector Yvonne Moreland said: "Extensive inquiries are continuing to gather more information on this attempted murder and trace the occupants of the car.
"The vehicle involved, which was found in Sheriffmuir, has been recovered.
"We are urging any witnesses to the attempted murder, or anyone who saw the car being driven between Fallin and Sheriffmuir to contact us.
"If anyone has any personal footage or dashcam that may hold information that is relevant to this investigation, please get in touch."
