Police in Livingston investigating after attempted murder
Police in West Lothian are investigating after an attempted murder in Livingston on Monday.
Officers were called to a wooded area near Holly Grove shortly after 4pm, there they found a 27-year old man with serious injuries to the head, neck and hand. Police believe he may have been slashed with a bladed weapon.
It’s believed it may be connected to an earlier incident involving three men in the Kingfisher Brae area of Ladywell, which happened at around 11:45am.
Detective Sergeant Andrew McGhee of Livingston CID said: "We believe that this was a targeted attack and I want to reassure the public that a thorough investigation is currently underway.
"As part of our enquiries into this incident, which we're treating as attempted murder, we're urging anyone who may have information of relevance to come forward."
