Police hunt two men after woman robbed in Kirkcaldy home

The 62 year old was robbed in her own home earlier this week.

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 62-year-old woman was robbed by two men at her home in Fife.

The incident happened at around 8.45am on Tuesday in the Alexander Street area of Kirkcaldy.

The attackers stole jewellery and a money box containing a four-figure sum of cash.

The first man is described as being aged about 40, 5ft 10in and of skinny build. He has a local accent and was wearing a blue hooded top.

The second man is shorter, skinny, spoke with a squeaky'' voice and was wearing a cream baseball cap.

Detective Sergeant Colin Potter said: This has been a distressing incident for the resident.

I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed anything suspicious to contact the police.''
