Police are hunting a group of Hibs fans who abused a disabled man on a train.
British Transport Police said a group of supporters verbally abused the man, who walks with two sticks, after he asked to sit on a seat designated for disabled passengers.
The 51-year-old victim boarded a Helensburgh-bound service at Carntyne station in Glasgow's east end at about 12.30pm on Saturday February 27. He asked the group of supporters, believed to be travelling to watch their team play Dumbarton in an SPFL match, if he could sit on a seat designated for disabled passengers.
They initially refused, then allowed him to sit but as he got off the train at Glasgow Queen Street Station, the group verbally abused him, making references to his disability.
PC John Paul O'Kane said: Hate crime in any form is totally unacceptable and there really is nothing that excuses such behaviour from the group of Hibs supporters.''
He is appealing for anyone with information regarding the identity of those responsible to contact him on 0800 40 50 40.
