Police hunt driver after schoolgirl injured in Glenrothes hit-and-run

Police are searching for a driver after a 14-year-old girl was struck by a car in a hit-and-run in Glenrothes.

The teenager was hit by a dark-coloured Mini, at around 1:30 pm on Tuesday, March 18.

The incident happened on Rothes Road, near the junction with Napier Road.

The driver failed to stop and was last seen heading towards the Leslie Road roundabout before turning towards the town centre.

Emergency services took the girl to hospital for treatment, and she has since been discharged.

Officers are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward as their investigation continues.
