Police confirm recovered body is missing Edinburgh student
Rufus Brickell was a Heriot-Watt University student.
Police have confirmed a body found on the coast in Argyll is that of a missing student.
The body of Rufus Brickell was discovered at around 3.45pm on Friday in the Ardmore area of Helensburgh.
The family of Mr Brickell, 22, were previously informed.
The student at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh was reported missing from Dalry in the city on Sunday October 6.
His death is not being treated as suspicious and a report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.
Police Scotland Sergeant Kieran Dougal said: "The family of Rufus have shown considerable composure throughout this harrowing time for them and our thoughts are with them as they come to terms with their loss.
"We are continuing to support his family, friends and fellow students, and work with them, offering assistance when required."
